To Bono, I just came back from europe and begged my parents for the money to see U2. I went to sydney, tail between legs and stayed with family. I spent days outside telstra stadium. I sat in the rain for hours, and then something happened. The sun came out, and then i found myself standing outside telstra stadium sydney, and then you were there. I was wearing a t-shirt saying 'Gavin Friday- the king of dublin'. Thankyou for the hug, and thankyou for the shows. Those were the best five nights of my life. 50 years old and I was able to take my mum to her first rock show. It was the first melbourne show. It was only afterwards that she told me that she had a broken foot, and she stood up there anyway, first row, because she knew how important it was to me. Thankyou for meeting Peter Costello. Music Rising

That silhouete during the start of 'City Of Blinding Lights', ever will bring tears to my eyes, of a good time which passed with Vertigo tour. In this tour, I saw Edge, who I just knew; but was recognized as a sort of Edge on fire, totally faithfull, totally strong, totally commited with the fans, the music. The example that Edge showed to the fans, to the parents of the fans, to the kids, to the teens, to everyone ... means this wonderfull and simple...'keep rocking', ever...'keep rocking'. If you have a problem, make your part with 110% of efficiency; the universe will back you the way, your way to...'keep rocking'. New Orleans received a support of one of the best musicians in this world, definitely the best guitarist, in an image of a guy and his beanie walking across the NOLA's streets, to the 9th Ward destroyed streets. Edge made New Orleans, as a tatto into my heart. I just loved New Orleans, but after Edge and Music Rising, this love transformed in one of my veins to bring bood to my heart. Edge is fantastic, generous, sweet; maybe the nicest rocker. Edge is a winner; he has the best structure that a guy must have: a supportive family which give him some characteristics: Edge is reliable. Edge is honest. Edge has wisdom. Edge is a young 45th guy. Edge is a 'protector' of the nature. Edge's hero is a little diva. Edge has three best friends named Adam, Bono and Larry, who partner him in this wild ride. Edge has the true love; Morleigh gives him all the encouragment, the lessons of 'a lioness courage' and gives him, the possibility of all the possible things in his life: her love. Edge - Here's hoping you have a wonderful holiday season, knowing that you have touched the lives of so many people throughout the world. I have difficult to express my feelings in english, but I don't think that in special occasion like this, we need a lot of complicated words to be understood. It have happened for years in my life, when I became U2 fan, I have no ideia what you were singing in the songs, but I can feel the goods feeling coming through the chords. And that's miracle, magic, whatever.. but it wouldn't be so unworldly if you, Edge, weren't so honest in the way you play guitar... that is what I feel when I hear you playing guitar.. Watching you on stage with your mates was way more intense than any drug I have ever taken. I just get so lost in your music...it's like listening to Hendrix. Seriously man, the sounds you create or manipulate out of your instruments...it's completely insane and I f*@kin love it(sorry for the explecitive, but it seemed appropriate). To hear Window in the Skies for the first time ever, live...that song proves what tremendous artists you all truly are. You showed tremendous strength and courage in the face of adversity. Hello The Edge, I returned to Australia just for the U2 concerts, and having run out of money, I begged my parents to borrow money of them to see U2 for the first time. They knew how important it was for me, and so off I went to sydney. I had the best three nights of my life there. On the third day I waited in line for hours in the pouring rain and wind. In the afternoon, I was blessed to have gotten the chance to meet bono and you outside telstra stadium. I was too gobsmacked to say anything to you. I was able to be there when they filmed at the corner hotel. I sat for 8 hours in the heat, sick as a dog. I was standing in a crowd, and you came and stood in front of me. I forgot about the headache, the pain in my stomach. Someone asked you a question, and you looked straight at me, and finally i worked up the courage, and we had a chat. All I wanted to say was, Stay safe, merry christmas, come back to sydney (i mean melbourne) soon and sorry if i was singing off tune in your ear.
